Calcium Reactor SM-60

  • The Seatorch Calcium Reactors is designed to simplify calcium and alkalinity supplementation for large reef tanks.

With its up-flow design, the dual-chamber systems to maximize efficiency to meet the demands of high-consumption tanks.

This powerful reactor has a unique features with our own design gas-water instantaneous mixer, it can maximum gas water mixing rate by 50%.

Come with dual mode - energy saving mode or silence mode. With its spiral mixing channel, double sealed sound insulation design, plus all the gas coming from the second chamber, separated to the pump, which make this reactor extremely quite.

Comes with a built-in pH probe holder, allowing you to monitor pH levels inside the reactor using a pH monitor or control CO2 levels with a pH controller. The CO2 recovery system re-injects any unused CO2, reducing CO2 consumption and minimizing the amount of excess CO2 released into the aquarium.

The Seatorch calcium reactor is an ideal choice for serious reef hobbyists, is designed by aquarists for aquarists

    How it works

In a reef tank, calcareous organisms like corals and clams along with calcareous algae, such as coralline algae, utilize the calcium dissolved in the water as one of the components to build their skeletons or shells. To keep a constant level in our reef tanks we need to supply calcium into the water column. One of the ways to accomplish this is the use of a calcium reactor. A calcium reactor, in conjunction with CO2 system, dissolves calcium-based filter media inside the reactor to replenish calcium and other minor elements in your aquarium water. For tanks with a high calcium demand, a calcium reactor is an invaluable tool that eliminates the need for 2 parts dosing.

What's Needed to Run a Calcium Reactor

    1.  Calcium Reactor

    3. CO2 cylinder. - Standard Tank
    4. Check Valve - Basic valve is included in this package.
    5. Calcium Reactor Media
    6. pH Controller or Aquarium Controller with pH probe.
